*Summarized by AI

Landi Technologies achieved CARB certification of its Ford 7.3L Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) platform for the current model year, covering the Ford E-450, F-450/550/600, F-650/750 and F-53/59 platforms and setting what it called a new benchmark for clean transportation in the commercial vehicle industry.

Landi said it is the only company in the world with a CARB-certified Ford 7.3L RNG/CNG platform combined with Ford Q-185 durability validation approval. These systems have achieved over one billion real-world fleet miles, according to the company.

This achievement, Landi said, represents years of advanced engineering, proprietary calibration development, emissions validation, OBD compliance approval, and extensive testing — delivering fleets a fully validated pathway to cleaner transportation without compromising performance.

Durability Validation Testing with Ford

In partnership with Ford, Landi successfully completed Ford Q-185 durability validation testing with Ford Commercial Engineering approval.

This testing included OEM tear-down inspection and validation of critical engine components, including pistons and valves, to verify the long-term performance and reliability of Landi’s advanced fuel system.

This level of validation supports OEM durability and long-term operational confidence under gaseous fuel operation. Landi is the only system manufacturer to have successfully completed this level of Ford durability validation on a 7.3L RNG/CNG engine.

Achieving CARB Certification

Landi said CARB certification remains one of the most rigorous emissions compliance standards in the world, requiring extensive regulatory review, emissions testing, OBD validation, and technical engineering compliance. Achieving certification on a commercial platform of this scale is a major accomplishment in sustainable transportation engineering, Landi said.

Continued Development of Clean Mobility

Landi Technologies continues to lead the development of the next-generation 7.3L clean transportation technologies in close collaboration with Ford and regulatory agencies. The company said this is more than a certification. It is another defining step forward for the future of clean commercial mobility.

Are You Tracking Your Fleet's True Total Cost of Ownership?

Bobit Business Media surveyed 190 fleet professionals and found that while most fleets are tracking costs, fragmented systems and data gaps are keeping true TCO visibility out of reach. With rising pressure to control spend in an increasingly volatile environment, the gap between what fleets think they know and what the data actually shows is wider than you might expect. See how your peers are managing costs today and where the industry still has room to improve.
