The Work Truck Upfit Package of the Year Awards, proudly sponsored by LEGEND, recognize the companies behind those innovations.

Unlike many industry awards, winners aren't selected by editors or a panel of judges. Eligible entries are voted on by Work Truck readers and commercial fleet professionals, making these awards a true reflection of the products delivering value in real-world fleet operations.

Now in its fourth year, the awards continue to celebrate the companies helping shape the future of commercial fleets.

The Call for Entries for the Fourth Annual Work Truck Upfit Package of the Year Awards is officially open.

If your company has developed an innovative upfit package that helps commercial fleets improve productivity, safety, organization, or efficiency, we'd like to hear from you.

This year, companies may submit up to four upfit packages across four award categories.

Why Do the Upfit Package of the Year Awards Matter?

The best upfits do more than add equipment to a vehicle: They solve problems. Whether it's helping technicians work more efficiently, improving vehicle organization, increasing safety, maximizing storage, or creating entirely new ways for fleets to operate, these awards recognize practical innovation that makes a measurable difference.

More importantly, they recognize the people behind those ideas. The engineers, designers, fabricators, and upfitters who continue pushing commercial fleet innovation forward.

Upfit Package of the Year Frequently Asked Questions

• Does my upfit package have to be custom? No. Off-the-shelf packages are absolutely eligible. What we're looking for are solutions that deliver real value to commercial fleets. If your package is being used by a real-world fleet, we'd like to see it.
• What if we partnered with another company? That's perfectly fine. Many successful upfit packages result from collaboration. Simply identify all participating companies when submitting your entry.
• Can I submit more than one package? Yes. Each company may submit up to four different upfit packages.
• Can I enter the same package in multiple categories? No. Each package should be entered in the category that best represents the primary vehicle it was designed for.
• Do I need to be the vehicle manufacturer? No. Upfitters, distributors, manufacturers, and solution providers are all welcome to submit eligible packages.
• What kind of photos should I submit? One to three high-resolution, print-quality images that clearly showcase the upfit package. Photos installed on a working fleet vehicle are highly encouraged.
• What are voters looking for? Work Truck readers and commercial fleet professionals vote for upfit packages that solve real operational challenges. The strongest entries clearly explain how the package improves productivity, safety, organization, efficiency, or overall fleet performance.
• What if I'm not sure whether my package qualifies? Reach out before submitting. We're happy to answer questions and help determine whether your package is a good fit for the awards.
