Cargo Transporters Gets Drivers Talking About Safety - Cargo Transporters, Inc., an asset-based regional and national carrier, is kicking off the Lytx Score Challenge, a new program aimed at promoting safety. For the Lytx Score Challenge, randomly chosen pairs of Cargo Transporters drivers will compete against each other for the lowest weekly Risk Score. Read more...
Werner Rewards Employee's Perfect Attendance - WernerCo gave away a new truck this week to one excited employee from their manufacturing facility in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The winner, Aldo Diaz, won a new Dodge Ram 1500 Truck with $18,000 in accessories alone. Diaz is a second shift welder and was selected from more than 3,000 entries that were based on perfect attendance at Werner's manufacturing plant. Read more...
Paccar's Nona Larson Recognized As a 'Top Woman to Watch In Transportation' - The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) announced it has recognized Paccar Parts employee Nona Larson in its fifth annual list of Top Women To Watch In Transportation. The association's editorial staff selected individuals for their career accomplishments in the past 12 to 18 months, as well as their efforts to promote gender diversity. Read more...
Booster Builds Up Executive Team - Booster, a mobile energy delivery service, has announced the appointment of three new vice presidents: Barry Russell, VP Sales, Partners and Business Development; Jonathan Moss, VP, Revenue Operations; and Joe Molesky, VP Operations. Booster is adding these new executives as the company continues to expand with the opening of Sacramento and San Diego markets. Read more...
TRP Hemel Awarded Global TRP Store of The Year - Paccar Parts announced it has awarded TRP Hemel in Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom as the 2021 Global TRP Store of the Year. TRP is Paccar Parts’ brand of aftermarket replacement parts for all makes of trucks, trailers, and buses. The TRP retail network includes 248 stores in 39 countries. Read more...
Isuzu Appoints Shaun Skinner as Executive Officer - Isuzu Motors Limited of Japan (IML) announced that Shaun Skinner, president of Isuzu Commercial Truck of America and Isuzu Commercial Truck of Canada, was appointed as an executive officer of IML. According to a company release, the appointment marks the first time a local executive of an overseas Isuzu distributor has been named to an executive officer position in the parent company. Goodyear, Cooper Tire Women Named 2022 STEP Ahead Honorees - The Manufacturing Institute (MI) announced it will honor Cooper Tire’s Missy Irons and The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s Arwen Kathke at the 10th annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Production (STEP) Ahead Awards gala on April 28 in Washington, D.C.
