The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) announced it has recognized Paccar Parts employee Nona Larson in its fifth annual list of Top Women To Watch In Transportation.
The association's editorial staff selected individuals for their career accomplishments in the past 12 to 18 months, as well as their efforts to promote gender diversity.
Throughout Larson’s 27‐year career at Paccar Parts and the Paccar Technical Center, she has advocated for hiring more women in the trucking industry. Larson is currently the director of customer service and is responsible for providing 24/7 parts and service support for Kenworth and Peterbilt dealers and customers.
“Nona Larson is dedicated to her customers and team members. She inspires others, leads by example, and is a valuable member of our global organization,” said Laura Bloch, Paccar Parts GM/VP.
In addition to mentoring, supporting, and developing employees into strong leaders, Larson is a member of the Paccar Women’s Association.
“I can relate to women beginning or growing their careers in the transportation industry. Helping women in transportation find a path to meet their ambitions is an area I care strongly about,” said Larson. “There are so many opportunities for women in the trucking industry and it is very gratifying to see so many women making their mark in this business.”
