Lily Ley, Paccar vice president and chief information officer, was presented with the Kenworth Industry Impact Award at the recent 2021 Kenworth Dealer Meeting in Marana, Arizona.
The award annually honors an outstanding leader who serves or is a member of the Kenworth dealer network who has had a significant impact in the broader trucking industry.
“It’s truly an honor to receive the Kenworth Industry Impact Award,” said Ley, who leads the worldwide Paccar Information Technology efforts and guides the IT modernization process for the digital age. “Over the years, I’ve worked closely with Kenworth dealers and customers to implement the latest technologies that streamline their IT processes and help benefit their bottom line.”
“Lily Ley is an outstanding information technology leader who puts the customer’s needs first, applies continuous innovation to deliver tangible business benefits, and provides enhanced business efficiencies,” said Jim Walenczak, Kenworth assistant general manager for sales and marketing.
Her impact on the trucking industry goes beyond the Information Technology field. In addition to receiving the Kenworth Industry Impact Award, Ley was honored in November with the 2021 Influential Woman in Trucking Award presented by the Women in Trucking Association (WIT). The award recognizes women in the trucking industry who make or influence key decisions, have proven records of responsibility, and serve as a role model to other women.
Ley also advocates for inclusion in the workplace through her involvement with several organizations, including serving as Executive Sponsor for the Paccar Women’s Association, member of the MSIS Board of Advisors at the University of Washington, and advisory board member at Seattle CIO. The Washington (State) Diversity Council recognized her as a one of the most influential women in Washington State in 2016.
