Leggett & Platt Commercial Vehicle Products (CVP) has announced a new ship-thru location in Kansas City, Mo. The facility will largely be used to upfit the Ford Transit as well as Ford F-150 vehicle platforms for commercial customers. CVP is a Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM) of Ford vehicles and offers a single source for equipment solutions, including interior cargo management solutions, ladder racks, computer mounting solutions and decal installations. CVP also offers alternative-fuel and technology conversions and is a Ford certified gaseous fuels QVM.
Ford has approved a ship-thru program for Leggett & Platt CVP’s facility in Kansas City (Order code: 31U D9K), according to the company. The new Leggett & Platt CVP location will be open in March.
The ship-thru service allows CVP customers to order Ford vehicles direct into CVP’s facility for upfitting and then re-enter the vehicles into Ford’s transportation system for final delivery. Leggett & Platt’s facility is located five miles from the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant, which enables CVP customers to take advantage of low transportation and upfit costs.
