Shades of Fleet Wants to Hear From You About Building a Culture of Care
Fleet leaders, we want to hear from you. Share how empathy, trust, and creating space for people can strengthen your team, improve performance, and support retention.

Work Truck’s Shades of Fleet is looking for fleet managers and industry leaders to share how empathy, trust, and people-focused leadership can help build a stronger culture of care.
Work Truck
Fleet is a people business. Vehicles, technology, maintenance, safety, and data may keep operations moving, but there are people behind every one of those pieces. And how those people are treated can have a very real impact on whether they stay, speak up, grow, and do their best work.
For the October episode of Shades of Fleet, Work Truck is looking at the "Culture of Care," and we want to hear from fleet managers and other leaders across the industry about what that actually looks like in practice.
This isn't about having all the answers or creating a workplace where nobody has a bad day. It's about leadership that recognizes people are people, creates space for honest conversations, and understands that empathy and accountability don't have to be opposites.
How do you support an employee who's struggling without lowering expectations? How do you create an environment where people feel comfortable speaking up before a problem gets bigger? And how do you show employees they matter when you're also juggling deadlines, budgets, vehicle downtime, staffing shortages, and everything else fleet throws at you?
We're looking for fleet managers, supervisors, executives, and other industry leaders willing to share what they've learned.
Add Your Voice to the Conversation
We want real experiences and practical lessons, including things that worked, things you had to learn the hard way, and small leadership choices that have made a difference for your team.
You don't need a studio, a polished script, or a perfect answer. Just bring your experience and your perspective.
Ready to add your voice? Record your responses here through Riverside.
Because building a stronger fleet culture doesn't always start with a new program. Sometimes it starts with paying attention, asking a better question, or making sure someone knows they're being heard.
