PENDLETON, IN -- Remy International, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of starters, alternators, and hybrid/electric motors and generators, announced the signing of an agreement to supply its HVH250 motors to Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. The F-150 PHEV comes standard with 4WD, but can also be operated in 2WD mode. The vehicle has a payload of up to 900 lbs. and a towing capacity of 5,800 lbs., making it a good choice for truck fleets requiring the performance potential of an electric drive system combined with the utility value of a light-duty pickup truck.

According to David M. Mazaika, Quantum's Chief Operating Officer, "Quantum's Ford F150 PHEV program had some very stringent requirements for the electric motors and generators. Remy's HVH 250 really delivers on all fronts, performance, reliability, value and efficiency. This is exactly the type of key partner we need to make this program a success."
