Geotab, a provider of connected transportation solutions, has revealed the launch of its Early Adopters Program for Geotab Ace, a new Generative AI assistant, scheduled to start May 7, 2024.
Since its introduction earlier this year, Geotab Ace has undergone further refinement, with the company's team placing a heavy emphasis on improving responsiveness, introducing new features, such as advanced engine diagnostics, and enhancing insights.
Mike Branch, VP of Data and Analytics at Geotab, said, "Our journey through the world of generative AI has been a learning-rich experience. As we continue to develop, our focus remains on building upon what we've learned to ensure we provide reliable insights to our customers. The early adopters program is just the beginning, and we are excited about the value Ace offers and are eager to observe the positive impact it will have on the industry."
What is Geotab Ace?
Geotab partnered with Microsoft to develop Ace, utilizing Microsoft Azure's powerful cloud infrastructure to create a reliable and forward-thinking product with Azure OpenAI Service.
Sylvia MacPherson, National Unicorn Leader at Microsoft Canada, stated, "We are excited to announce our collaboration with Geotab in the development of Geotab Ace. Our work together is driven by a shared commitment to innovation, with Geotab's advanced fleet solutions contributing to safer, more sustainable, and efficient roadways."
As Geotab continues its collaborative efforts with Microsoft, this program lays the groundwork for improving fleet management practices and reducing time-to-insight, from performance and operations to safety and sustainability, through reliable and accessible data insights.
Geotab Ace processes vast quantities of data to offer predictive and benchmarking insights, making complex information manageable and insightful. This, in turn, facilitates the optimization of costs and overall fleet performance.
Geotab Ace offers tailored responses based on the operational specifics of the user's fleet, enhancing the user's experience. It goes beyond providing raw data, interpreting inquiries with precision, and presenting its findings in an accessible manner.
In an era driven by data, safeguarding the privacy and security of information is critical. Designed with a commitment to privacy and security protocols, Geotab Ace ensures that user data is handled securely within Geotab's secure environment, providing trust and safeguarding the value of the insights delivered.
The company also released its Responsible AI Guide, which highlights the unique challenges posed by the development of Ace and how Geotab addressed them.
