Operating through a new touchscreen display, Paccar Connect pairs essential vehicle functions with an expanding suite of apps and tools to deliver a seamless digital experience for drivers and fleets. For fleets and owner-operators, Paccar Connect, which is covered under factory warranty, can eliminate the need for multiple aftermarket devices while providing greater flexibility to manage fleet services.

“Paccar Connect advances our connected vehicle strategy,” said John Rich, Paccar chief technology officer. “By creating a future-ready technology foundation, it enables us to continuously expand capabilities, integrate new technologies and enhance the driver experience.”

Paccar Connect brings to customers a gateway to the Virtual Vehicle software platform, which includes an applications marketplace that enables fleets to access a growing selection of applications. Kenworth and Peterbilt customers can access and activate applications directly through the Paccar Connect Portal, integrating their own workflows and technology directly into the truck.

For fleet managers, the Paccar Connect Portal provides back-office tools for fleet management, including enhanced capabilities to monitor vehicle health, remote diagnostics, mileage, location, warranty status, idle time, and more.

Kenworth and Peterbilt’s implementation of Paccar Connect includes several features specifically designed for trucks and the drivers who operate them. Key Paccar Connect features include:

  • High-Definition Touch Screen Display
  • Voice Assistant: Voice-controlled access to select truck functions and information
  • Camera Integration: Paccar Connect supports up to eight camera inputs, with the ability to automatically trigger views based on vehicle functions such as reversing and turn signals
  • Bluetooth Connectivity: Supports pairing two phones simultaneously and Apple CarPlay compatibility
  • Paccar Apps: Drivers have access to a digital operator’s manual, driver tutorials, vehicle health information, and a dealer locator
