Ford's F-150, F-250, Taurus and Lincoln MKZ Hybrid won their categories, while Nissan's NV full-size cargo van, Versa, Altima, and Leaf also topped their categories.
Other winners included General Motors with its heavy duty Express and Savana vans continuing to deliver value to the fleet industry, and Volvo with its S60, S90, and V60 luxury sedans. Toyota's three winners included the Tacoma, which took top honors for a record-setting 11th time. BMW, Hyundai, and Mercedes-Benz each earned three Vincentric awards.
"We saw significant consistency between prior year winners and the 2017 winning vehicles," said David Wurster, Vincentric's president. "This allows fleet organizations to choose not only from a wide-variety of vehicles with the lowest cost of ownership, but also from a number of winners that have demonstrated consistent success in their segments over the years."
For the awards, Vincentric performs a cost of ownership analysis measuring over 2,500 vehicle configurations based on typical fleet use and using eight different cost factors such as depreciation, fees, taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. Winners were identified by determining which vehicles had the lowest fleet lifecycle cost in the most scenarios for its segment.
