National average diesel fuel prices were $3.67 per gallon as of October 18, 2021, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
All regions experienced month-over-month and year-over-year price increases. This week shows an increase of $0.09 from the week prior and and increase of $1.28 year-over-year.
Current average diesel prices by region are:
East Coast: $3.66
Midwest: $3.62
Gulf Coast: $3.42
Rocky Mountain: $3.73
West Coast: $4.23
The national average price of a gallon of diesel dropped by more than 5 cents this week, and all but one region reported price decreases.
