Diesel Prices Increase to Start October

National average diesel fuel prices were $3.47 per gallon as of October 4, 2021, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

This is an increase from the last week of September when diesel fuel prices were $3.40 as of Sept. 27.

A year ago, diesel fuel prices were $2.38.

Current average diesel prices by region are:

East Coast: $3.43

Midwest: $3.43

Gulf Coast: $3.20

Rocky Mountain: $3.64

West Coast: $4.07
