INDIANAPOLIS - Cummins is showcasing its on-highway engines and technology at The Work Truck Show 2011 in Indianapolis, Ind., from March 8-10. A selection of Cummins products for work truck applications are on display in the Cummins booth, including the ISB6.7 diesel engine, the ISL G natural gas engine and the QuickCheck 5200 handheld information tool. Cummins engines will also be shown in various other displays throughout the show.

"Cummins is proud to exhibit, for the first time, at The Work Truck Show 2011 in Indianapolis," said Lou Wenzler, On-Highway Market Communications Director. "We look forward to showcasing our products and connecting with customers at North America's largest work truck event."

Cummins full lineup of engines for on-highway truck and vocational applications ranges from its ISX15 and ISX11.9 Heavy-Duty engines to its ISL9, ISC8.3 and ISB6.7 MidRange engines to its 6.7L Turbo Diesel engine for Ram Chassis Cabs, all of which utilize the Cummins Aftertreatment System with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to meet the EPA near-zero emissions.

The Cummins ISB6.7 is a best-in-class engine for work trucks, incorporating Cummins legendary ISB engine with a fully integrated emissions control system. This fully integrated system includes a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and proven SCR technology. Additionally, the ISB6.7 features the VGT(TM) Turbocharger and the High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) fuel system for best-in-class performance and fuel efficiency.

The ISL G natural gas engine, designed by Cummins Westport Inc., delivers optimum reliability and durability by maximizing uptime and minimizing maintenance requirements. Its combination of sophisticated air/fuel handling, ignition and electronic engine controls functions as a fully integrated system designed to deliver optimum efficiency at the lowest cost. Featuring a maintenance-free Three-Way Catalyst and the ability to operate on either liquefied natural gas (LNG) or compressed natural gas (CNG), the ISL G provides a convenient solution for work truck applications.

Also on display in the Cummins booth is Cummins QuickCheck 5200, the latest version of the popular handheld information tool used to monitor and edit engine data and feature parameters. The QuickCheck 5200 allows drivers to adjust engine parameters settings such as road speed governor and idle shutdown without needing a PC. It includes both the QuickCheck CE and PowerSpec CE applications preinstalled.

As an added highlight, Cummins is offering a free plant tour with transportation to its Columbus MidRange Engine Plant (CMEP) on Wednesday, March 9, to select attendees of The Work Truck Show 2011 to see the assembly process of its 6.7L Turbo Diesel engines for Ram Heavy Duty trucks.
