Circle K is taking another step toward a fully digital fleet fueling experience. The global convenience and mobility brand has partnered with Car IQ to launch Circle K Pro Digital+, a next-generation payment solution that ditches physical fuel cards in favor of vehicle-based payments.
With the new platform, fleet operators can make secure, cardless payments not only for fuel but also for tolls and other vehicle-related expenses across the U.S.
“We chose to partner with Car IQ to introduce a true digital fleet payment breakthrough,” said Reno Øhlenschlæger, Vice President Global B2B Mobility and Sales at Circle K. “With Circle K Pro Digital+, we’re going beyond traditional fuel cards to offer a fully automated, digital (cardless) payment solution that meets the evolving needs of today’s fleets. This is more than just a fuel payment tool—it’s an all-in-one solution that offers an easy cardless payment experience which makes it easy for companies to manage their drivers and vehicle-related expenses at scale.”
Circle K Pro Digital+ allows drivers to find stations, initiate fueling through an app, and pay automatically, no swipe or PIN needed. The system works at more than 7,000 Circle K locations and anywhere Visa is accepted, including other major fuel brands and toll networks.
According to Visa research, fleets using vehicle-based payments can save up to 13.6% on fuel, with 12% of that tied directly to fraud reduction.
“We’ve seen increasing customer demand for digital-first payment solutions, and our partnership with Circle K is reflective of this industry shift,” said Sterling Pratz, CEO of Car IQ. “We are thrilled to team up with one of the largest fuel providers in the world and open the market to vehicle-based payments at scale.”
Key features for fleets include:
Instant onboarding and offboarding: Add or remove drivers instantly, with no physical cards to ship.
Nationwide acceptance: Pay at Circle K, other fuel brands, toll networks, and anywhere Visa works.
Real-time visibility: Track transactions through a centralized dashboard.
Fraud prevention: Geofencing ensures payments can only occur at authorized sites.
Circle K Pro Digital+ is now available for fleet operators looking to cut costs, reduce fraud, and simplify payment management.
