A group headed by former JLG executives, National Truck Body Solutions, Inc. (NTB), purchased the heavy-duty truck service and specialty vehicle reseller assets of Mason Dixon Trucks and Carriers located in Greencastle, Pa. Due in part to this transaction, NTB has more than 100 years of combined experience in the towing and recovery, equipment distributors, equipment rental and contractors truck and equipment industry.
Co-owner and Vice President, Brent Yohn of NTB was impressed by the recognized service capacity and the specialty vehicle reseller positioning that Mason Dixon had built over the last 28 years. “Since 1985, we have seen significant growth of the vehicle service provider industry which also opened up more opportunities in the specialty vehicle reseller portion of our operation,” Yohn said.
According to Yohn, NTB will continue to build and support their current distribution system of parts, maintenance, and service opportunities with brands such as IMT, JERR-DAN, Hanco, TruckCraft, Landoll Trailers, and Southwest Products. “NTB is an authorized parts distribution center for all products we carry and for many products we do not represent but do repair for our customers,” he said.
Within the deal, NTB also solidified their future relationship with Oshkosh Corporation and their full line of specialty trucks, truck bodies, and access equipment. “As an industry leader in customer service and working with familiar interactive systems, the Oshkosh link helps provide new opportunities due to their quality history and value-added parts, maintenance and service programs in a growing transportation industry,” Yohn said.
As an additional benefit for existing and potential new customers, NTB’s 12,000 sq. ft. facility is strategically located in Greencastle, Pa., near the border of Maryland, to help increase on-site service and parts delivery for all of its brands.
“Our proximity to several of our brands’ corporate headquarters allows us to get parts faster and more economically than other distributors, said Yohn. “A down machine is a lost opportunity! That is why we are committed to servicing your equipment not only in our service locations but also in the field where most mechanical problems occur,” he continued.
