Tire Insights to Support Autonomy

Goodyear’s SightLine technology uses sensors to monitor tire health, friction, and road conditions in real time. The data will be used to support PlusAI’s autonomous system by improving vehicle performance insights, potentially lowering operational costs and improving safety across varied road environments.

“This collaboration provides additional data to help us improve SuperDrive’s performance in real-world conditions,” said Shawn Kerrigan, chief operating officer and co-founder of PlusAI.

Scaling Autonomous Systems

PlusAI’s autonomous driving software has logged over 5 million miles across North America, Europe, and Asia. The company has built a network of strategic partners, including OEMs and suppliers like Goodyear, to advance commercial deployment of factory-built autonomous trucks.

“Integrating SightLine into autonomous platforms will help boost safety and efficiency from the ground up,” said Chris Helsel, senior vice president and chief technical officer at Goodyear.
