IntelliShift, the connected fleet intelligence platform for safety and operations teams, announced the appointment of Henry Popplewell as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective as of January 2, 2024.

According to a company statement, this change follows another stellar year for IntelliShift, with record-breaking revenue achieved in 2023, solidifying the company’s position as a leader in the fleet management industry.

Popplewell is an accomplished business leader with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation in the fleet technology industry. He brings deep domain experience in sales leadership, customer experience, product development, operational excellence, and building high performing teams that deliver rapid growth and transformation.

“It has been my honor to serve my customers and lead my team of strong professionals at IntelliShift for over 22 years,” said John M. Cunningham Jr., founder and original CEO. “As I now shift my role to Chairman of the Board, I look forward to supporting Henry as we remain unwavering in our mission to deliver unparalleled value to our customers and partners through innovation and industry leadership.”

Popplewell joins IntelliShift from Telular Corporation, a division of Ametek Inc, an industry leading IoT company focused on telematics, security, and digital automation, where he led the organization in achieving record growth and profitability. Prior to Telular, he served as President of SkyBitz Inc., leading go-to-market strategy and customer experience to establish the company as a market leader in Smart Asset technologies for the transportation and logistics industries. Prior to SkyBitz, Popplewell held highly successful executive roles with Ryder Systems and Nextel Communications.

He is a passionate advocate for digital technology and serves on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations.
