Joseph Thompson has been named Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Morgan Olson, a North American provider of walk-in step vans.
In his role, Thompson will be responsible for all aspects of product delivery – from ideation and engineering to commercial operations and human resources.
Bringing Leadership Experience and Industry Expertise
“I’m looking forward to this challenge with a focus on operational growth required to take Morgan Olson to the next market and product leadership phase by being responsible for past, present, and future commercial development and operational excellence,” Thompson shared.
Mike Ownbey, Morgan Olson’s President & CEO, adds,” Joe’s leadership experience and industry expertise will guide Morgan Olson’s vision and growth while keeping our company at the forefront of innovation and collaboration with our valued customers and suppliers.”
Thompson's arrival at Morgan Olson is marked by preparation, positioning him as a catalyst for the company's ongoing growth trajectory.
New Chapter of Growth and Expansion
Before joining Morgan Olson, Thompson held the position of Group President at Roush Products Group, spearheading product innovation, strategic planning, and fostering collaboration across different teams.
He was responsible for multiple profit and loss statements, talent development, and executed tactical implementations.
Before assuming this elevated role, Joe spent nine years as President of Roush CleanTech, during which he devised their strategic business plan, secured initial funding through grants, negotiated long-term supply agreements, facilitated organizational growth, drove product innovation, engaged in government affairs, and demonstrated leadership within the transportation industry.
