Lubrizol has launched its CV1700 Series, a comprehensive suite of heavy-duty engine oil additive solutions to help oil marketers meet next-generation performance demands with ease and simplicity.

Lubrizol CV1700 Series shipments have begun in North America, well ahead of the January 2027 first license date, to enable a timely transition for customers. Early availability will enable customers to finalize formulations before first license and go to market with confidence.

• Proven performance. Lubrizol CV1700 Series satisfies all relevant API category requirements and testing, as well as key OEM credentials for the North American market, delivering comprehensive end-use performance that oil marketers depend on.
• A simplified supply chain. Lubrizol CV1700 Series offers flexibility across a range of base stocks, helping lubricant blenders optimize supply streams amidst a volatile base oil market. 
• Base oil coverage includes a large variety of base oils for North America and around the globe, including Group II, Group II/III, Group III, and PAO.
• Streamlined formulating. Lubrizol CV1700 Series offers competitive treat rates and broad viscosity grade coverage to help oil marketers streamline their product portfolios and simplify their blending operations to go to market with speed and agility.

Viscosity grade coverage for Lubrizol CV1700 Series includes 10W-30, 10W-40, 15W-40, 5W-40, 0W-40, 5W-20, and 5W-30.

Lubrizol CV1700 Series supports both API CL-4 and API FB-4, covering engine oil formulations designed for backward compatibility and low-viscosity options that can help improve fuel economy in new-model engines.
