Jasper Engines & Transmissions now has expanded availability of the Chrysler 3.6L Pentastar Gen II engine for the two late-model Jeep applications: the 2018-2025 Jeep Wrangler and the 2020-2025 Jeep Gladiator.

“The Jasper-engineered pistons feature a smooth, fully-machined, anodized crown that acts as a thermal barrier, helping reduce carbon buildup,” said Brad Boeglin, Jasper New Product Development Group leader. “We’ve added additional oil return holes, 12 in all, to improve oil drainback and transitioned from a three-piece, low-tension oil ring to a two-piece diesel-style. This change reduces the risk of oil rings from sticking and results in lower oil consumption.”

“We’ve made significant improvements in sealing between the head and block,” Boeglin said. “The head gasket has been redesigned with a ‘D’ shape to provide a better seal between cylinders. In addition, steel inserts are CNC-installed into the block to increase durability and better handle the high clamping forces from the head bolts.”

The Jasper remanufactured Chrysler 3.6L Pentastar Gen II engine is covered by a nationwide, transferable, parts-and-labor warranty of up to 3 Years/100,000 Miles. Full warranty disclosure is available upon request.
