WEX, a provider of corporate payment solutions, has expanded its DriverDash mobile app to include electric vehicle functionality to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles among commercial fleet customers. The move comes as fleet managers explore a potential transition to electric vehicles and seek a simplified and integrated payment system.
According to Jay Collins, SVP and GM of EV and Mobility at WEX, “The addition of EV functionality to our DriverDash mobile app exemplifies WEX’s expertise in simplifying and integrating business payments.”

The app is accepted at ChargePoint-branded EV chargers and ChargePoint’s roaming partner brands: EVConnect, EVGo, FLO, and Shell Recharge. With over 600,000 commercial fleet customers worldwide, WEX is simplifying and integrating its products and networks to accommodate ICE, EV, and mixed fleets.
DriverDash is available via Google and Apple app stores. Fleet managers can initiate charging sessions via WEX-issued physical radio frequency identification (RFID) cards, allowing access to WEX’s integrated backend reporting for both fuel types via a single portal.
