Vnomics Corp., the provider of True Fuel, a fuel saving technology that combines real-time driver coaching with fuel efficiency data, announced a partnership with Platform Science, developer of a platform for on-vehicle mobile applications. Through the partnership, Platform Science will make the True Fuel application available to fleets on its open platform.
“Our partnership with Platform Science will bring the fuel saving benefits of the True Fuel application to more fleets, including a 3% to 10% reduction in their annual fuel spend and an immediate positive ROI,” said Robert Peckham, director of business development at Vnomics. “The Platform Science app marketplace and its ease of implementation presents a great opportunity to make True Fuel readily available to leading enterprise fleets. The speed at which this partnership came together after the announcement of our True Fuel application availability to telematics providers also shows the value of our proven fuel technology.”
Vnomics recently expanded its product offering by making the True Fuel solution available to fleets as an application for use through Platform Science, as well as other existing telematics systems, without requiring the purchase or installation of additional in-cab hardware. The patented software is unlike any other application designed to improve fuel economy because it takes into account truck configuration, load, terrain, and environmental factors, and coaches drivers in real-time to achieve the best possible fuel economy considering all the variables.
True Fuel provides analytics to fleets about driver performance with respect to fuel efficiency, and automated reports with actionable guidance based on fair and balanced scoring. The analytics also serve as the basis for rewards programs based on fuel efficiency rather than MPG alone, and assist fleets in choosing the most efficient equipment for route optimization by providing predictable fuel costs.
“The Vnomics True Fuel application fills a critical need for the industry,” said Joe Jumayao, VP of business development at Platform Science. “It lowers operating expenses by reducing fuel waste and consumption. Making it available on our platform allows our mutual customers to quickly realize a fast return on investment in fuel savings from the day they start using the software. We are pleased to add this highly valuable capability and provide fleets with more choice in our suite of efficiency enhancing applications.”
