HALIFAX – TruckWeight Inc. has announced a product distribution and marketing agreement with Fairview Fittings & Mfg., a supplier of hose, industrial-quality fittings, valves, and related products for commercial vehicles and industrial use. The company is based in Toronto and has 12 locations and sales representation across Canada and the United States. It also sells directly to original equipment manufacturers. Fairview Fittings will distribute and market TruckWeight’s Smart Scale, a wireless onboard weigh scale for commercial trucks, tractors, and trailers. Using a low-powered radio transmitter, the Smart Scale has provides an accuracy within 0.3 percent, or roughly 150 lbs., of the actual gross vehicle weight. The two companies have a long-standing relationship: Fairview Fittings supplies TruckWeight with components for Smart Scale.
