Crowd-sourced data collected in 2019 and 2020 by Trucker Path shows truck parking locations are only half as full on Christmas Day versus the rest of the year. The infographic released by the company states there was a 53% increase in locations with many parking spaces available reported by Trucker Path users on December 25 versus the rest of the year.

Whether the trend will continue on Christmas Day this year remains to be seen. The pandemic combined with the ongoing supply chain crisis may impact parking availability. Trucker Path stated it will release an updated infographic after the holidays to see how the current supply chain climate will affect parking availability on December 25th, 2021.
