LAS VEGAS – Trimble Mobile Solutions (TMS) division and RS Solutions have entered into a definitive agreement to integrate and market Trimble’s TrimFleet Ready Mix solution with RS Solutions’ Ready Slump system on new aftermarket and factory installations for concrete trucks throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Together, the integrated system shares job ticket information, vehicle location, status monitoring, driver messaging, and ready mix concrete process control throughout the delivery process. The entire system is integrated between the producer’s dispatch system and the concrete truck. The combined systems will provide producers with real-time management and control of concrete quality while the truck is in transit.
The Ready Slump system is a truck-mounted process-control system that can accurately measure, adjust, and document concrete slump from the time a truck is loaded until it is poured. The patented system closes the loop of slump control during the concrete delivery process by measuring the product slump, comparing it to the customer-specified slump, and automatically making the necessary water adjustments at proper mixing speed to reach that level.
Trimble’s TrimFleet Ready Mix solution delivers real-time ready mix delivery status, vehicle-location information, and driver messaging in real-time to the dispatcher. TrimFleet has been integrated with leading dispatch and enterprise software products used by ready mix concrete producers. Trimble’s system automates the process of monitoring the key stages of the delivery cycle of ready mix vehicles.
