SmartTruck Names New Regional Sales Director
SmartTruck, a provider of fuel-saving trailer aerodynamics for the trucking industry, announced the appointment of Dean Ford as Regional Sales Director.

SmartTruck, a provider of fuel-saving trailer aerodynamics for the trucking industry, announced the appointment of Dean Ford as Regional Sales Director. In this role, Ford will be responsible for supporting current clients across much of the Western U.S., as well as building new relationships with trailer dealers, long-haul fleets, trailer leasing companies and manufacturers.
A veteran of more than 25 years in the transportation and technology industries, Ford brings substantial sales experience in the trucking sector, as well as in aerodynamics, to his new role at SmartTruck. His most recent position was as senior director of sales at GreenRoad Technologies, following two years at Transtex Composite. In addition to launching major business development efforts in executive positions at these and other companies including QUALCOMM (OmniTRACS) and Lockheed Martin. In addition, Ford served as Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Membership at the American Trucking Association from 2003 to 2005.

Ford is a past board member of the ATA as well as the Truckload Carrier Association, Western Highway Institute, and the Illinois and Louisiana Trucking Associations. He is a frequent speaker at transportation conferences, state legislatures, and other industry forums.
In his new role, Ford will report to Ron Pope, a SmartTruck VP of National Sales.
