Samsara Driver Perks Expands Rewards Beyond the Long Haul Driver

Samsara Driver Perks gives eligible professional drivers access to discounts and offers from more than 50 brands, including benefits designed to fit life on the road, between jobs, and at home.

The term professional driver can bring a long-haul truck driver to mind, but for work truck fleets, driving is often only one part of the job. Technicians, contractors, delivery drivers, utility employees, service workers, and other vocational fleet drivers may spend part of the day behind the wheel and the rest getting the actual job done.
Samsara says that broader driver experience helped shape Driver Perks, a new rewards program giving eligible professional drivers access to offers and discounts from more than 50 brands at no cost to the driver or fleet.
Built for Drivers Who Do More Than Drive
“Professional drivers have all types of routes and it’s sometimes only a small part of the work they get done,” Johan Land, Chief Product Officer at Samsara, told Work Truck. “We talked about this with drivers, and kept that in mind when choosing partners. The partner lineup is beneficial whether someone is on the road all day, moving between jobs, or even at home.”
Driver Perks launched September 10 in the United States and includes participating brands across automotive, travel, wellness, fitness, learning, style, home, food, and beverage categories. Initial partners include Truck Parking Club, Farmers Insurance, A-Premium Auto Parts, 24 Hour Fitness, Audible, BetterHelp, BetterSleep, Crunch Fitness, Dickies, Vans, Pit Boss Grills, Liquid I.V., OLIPOP, and others.
Eligible drivers can reach the program through the Samsara Driver App, a direct web link, or a QR code provided by their organization. Each participating company establishes its own terms, and drivers redeem the offers directly with the brand.
What Drivers Said They Actually Wanted
Samsara co-built Driver Perks with members of its Driver Council, an advisory group that provides feedback on the company’s product development. According to Land, that feedback influenced both the range of perks and the initial companies Samsara selected.
“What drivers told us shaped the program,” Land told Work Truck. “We heard how much they invest in life on the road, some bring portable grills to cook their own meals, others keep a coffee maker in the cab. They also told us how much they value staying healthy and active.”
Those conversations pushed Samsara toward benefits that could follow drivers beyond the truck itself.
“When we built the initial partner lineup, we focused on the areas drivers brought up most,” Land said. “They're the things a lot of us value, our health, our hobbies, and time to recharge.”
The program also gives work truck fleets another potential way to recognize employees at a time when recruitment and retention remain part of the workforce conversation.
“I've been a driver for more than 40 years and I can tell you it's rare to see a company build something like this just for us,” said Jerome Jolly, a driver at Ryan Logistics. “What stood out to me is the variety of perks. I know drivers with all kinds of interests and can see them getting a lot out of it. It's something I'll use to save money on what I already buy and try a few new things.”
Samsara sources the participating brands, hosts the program, and provides materials fleets can use to make drivers aware of the available offers. The company said additional brands and benefits will be added over time. Driver Perks launched as part of Samsara’s inaugural global Driver Appreciation Month, which focuses on recognizing professional drivers and other frontline workers.
