RTA is a 'Good Buddy' to Trucker Buddy
PACIFIC GROVE, CA - The Retread Tire Association (RTA) has donated money to Trucker Buddy International to show its support.
PACIFIC GROVE, CA - The Retread Tire Association (RTA) has donated money to Trucker Buddy International to show its support. The amount was "not a lot, but every bit helps them," says RTA Managing Director Harvey Brodsky, according to Modern Tire Dealer.
Trucker Buddy is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization started in 1992 and dedicated to helping educate and mentor schoolchildren via a pen pal relationship between professional truck drivers and children in grades kindergarten through 8.
The donation was "our way of thanking the trucking industry and the many drivers who devote their time to be a trucker buddy to thousands of youngsters in schools throughout North America," says Brodsky. "I felt it would be a good investment of our members' dollars since our industry depends so much on the goodwill of truckers."
