Rostra Makes Rearsight Back-Up Camera System Available for 2007 Dodge Sprinter Vans
LAURINBURG, N.C. – Rostra Precision Controls Inc. has developed the 2007 Dodge Sprinter Van RearSight back-up camera system in response to body style changes made by DaimlerChrysler this year.
LAURINBURG, N.C. – Rostra Precision Controls Inc. has developed the 2007 Dodge Sprinter Van RearSight back-up camera system (#250-8033) in response to body style changes made by DaimlerChrysler this year.
The new RearSight kit consists of a heavy-duty, waterproof color image camera that mounts above the rear doors of the van to provide drivers with a 150-degree wide-angle view behind the vehicle. The camera features auto infrared for night vision and a heavy duty bracket with a five-foot harness, which allows users to easily adjust the camera’s angle.
Inside the cabin, the system uses a 3.5-inch TFT-LCD monitor that mounts to the headliner with a special mounting stem and bracket. The monitor features dual video inputs — for navigation, interior camera, and/or DVD — and a wide angle view with reverse override.
“RearSight is specifically designed to help drivers maintain control of their vehicles and avoid backing accidents that could result in vehicle damage by identifying objects that are in their blind spots or are too close to the ground for an ultrasonic product to detect,” said Sibyl Ringsdorf, manager of marketing and national accounts, Rostra Precision Controls Inc. “By reducing these accidents, fleet operators can keep their insurance and operating costs low.”
The Dodge Sprinter Van RearSight installs in 30 minutes. Professional installation is recommended.
Rostra offers a separate RearSight kit for the 2006 Dodge Sprinter Van (#250-8013) that features a waterproof, CCD color image camera that is installed on top of the van, above the rear doors, and a 3.5-inch TFT-LCD monitor that mounts to the headliner with a special mounting stem and bracket.
