OMNI Holdings, LLC, parent of Omni Specialized, LLC, announced it is in full operation after acquiring the flatbed assets of Tennant Truck Lines. The newly formed company is now providing general commodity flatbed and over-dimensional, open deck specialized service to customers nationwide.
The former Tennant Truck Lines based in Colona was in business for more than 70 years. Having an outstanding reputation for service and safety performance, the corporation served over dimensional open deck customers primarily in the construction and agricultural machinery truckload segment. The corporation had won numerous awards for safety and driver employment satisfaction being recognized by many leading industry associations. The Tennant Truck Lines name and authority will continue to operate, as a van carrier, under the ownership of Josh Kaburick the principal of E. L. Henderson.
“Omni Specialized is backed by a solid reputation for safe, reliable, service,” said Thomas Witt, president of Omni Specialized. “Our highly experienced drivers have many years of hauling open deck freight, including meeting TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) requirements for access to secure areas of the nation’s maritime facilities. By acquiring the flatbed assets of Tennant Truck Lines and hiring many of its office employees and drivers we are able to immediately meet the shipping needs of customers that rely on us for quality, on time and damage-free service.”
Two industry veterans with extensive experience operate Omni Specialized. Thomas Witt, an industry executive with more than 35 years’ experience will serve as Omni’s President. Earl Coleman, who also possesses more than 35 year’s industry experience, will oversee financial management of the company.
Omni Specialized, LLC, based in Colona, Ill., is one of the larger over-dimensional and general commodity carriers in the U.S providing safe, reliable service with a fleet of platform, low-profile step deck and RGN double drop trailers. The company operates two terminals located in Baltimore, Md., and Wichita, Kan. In addition to Omni’s asset based open deck truckload capabilities, the company offers extensive logistics based solutions.
