KIRKLAND, WA - Kenworth now offers a new brochure on its Kenworth T440, which provides heavy-duty performance in more demanding medium-duty applications, such as regional haul, pickup and delivery, municipal, and vocational.

The Kenworth T440 comes in a more compact and lighter weight package than a Class 8 truck, but also offers key features found in Kenworth's heavy-duty product line, including the same ergonomic multiplexed dash, aerodynamic sloped hood and three-piece bumper, forward lighting with Halogen projector headlamps, and the Kenworth Driver Information Center.

The six-page Kenworth T440 brochure offers comprehensive product information, including a full page with detailed specifications for axles, battery boxes, brakes, bumpers, cab, engines, exhaust options, frame, fuel tanks, hood, interior, starting and charging, suspension, transmissions, wheels and tires, and special equipment and options.

Available as a straight truck or tractor in gross vehicle weight (GVW) ranging from 33,000 lbs. to 68,000 lbs., the T440 features modern aerodynamic styling, enhanced maneuverability and ergonomics, and a fuel-efficient powertrain.

The T440 is standard with the PACCAR PX-8 engine rated at 350 hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque. Optional engine choices are the Cummins ISL engine, rated at 380 hp and 1,300 lb-ft of torque, and the Cummins ISL G natural gas engine rated at 320 hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque.  Axle ratings are from 12,000 to 22,000 lbs. (front), 21,000 to 30,000 lbs. (single rear) and 40,000 to 46,000 lbs. (dual rear).  The T440 is available with a variety of manual and automatic transmissions.

The T440 is standard in a day cab configuration and optional with the Kenworth Extended Day Cab and 38-inch Kenworth AeroCab sleeper. The T440 can also be ordered with an air ride cab, factory-installed power take-off (PTO) and one lift axle. Clean frame rails and an exhaust-free back of cab clear the way for quick and efficient installation of a wide range of bodies and chassis-mounted equipment.

The new Kenworth T440 brochure is now available from Kenworth dealers in the United States and Canada. The brochure can also be downloaded as an electronic .pdf file from the Kenworth Web site.
