Mack Trucks recently highlighted the measurable results its connected services and support platform are delivering for customers during the Technology & Maintenance Council 2026 Annual Meeting. Here is a recap of what some of Mack’s latest technology advances are accomplishing.

From automatic over-the-air software updates to AI-powered predictive maintenance and tailored service contracts, results show that Mack innovations are helping fleets reduce downtime, lower costs, and keep drivers safer.

Mack continues to invest in solutions such as AutoSend automatic over-the-air updates, Mack GuardDog Connect predictive telematics, Mack OneCall 24/7 support, Mack Connect uptime service, tailored service contracts, Mack Protect active safety, and CommandView, a fully integrated situational awareness system that reduces blind spots and helps to improve maneuverability in varied operating environments.

Mack AutoSend Connectivity

Mack’s AutoSend connectivity platform,  the first over-the-air software update service offered by a truck OEM, delivered approximately 150,000 successful updates in 2025, roughly double the cumulative total from the previous seven years. Those updates helped customers avoid an estimated 115,000 days of downtime.

Before AutoSend, only 27% of Mack’s eligible truck population was running the latest software; that figure has risen to 80%. Over-the-air technology also enables remote parameter adjustments, allowing fleets to fine-tune trucks for specific applications in minutes without visiting a dealership.

Mack’s Predictive Uptime Tools

When issues can’t be resolved over the air, Mack’s predictive uptime technology works to identify and address them before they cause unplanned downtime.

GuardDog Connect, Mack’s AI-powered predictive technology platform, continuously analyzes truck health and performance data and automatically alerts Mack OneCall when a potential issue arises – often before a warning light appears on the dash.

Mack OneCall then connects drivers and fleets to real people 24/7, linking directly with GuardDog Connect to turn alerts into action and keep every truck earning. Mack can now identify with 95% certainty what a fault code means and what repair will address it – and in many cases, predict when that fault code will trigger before it occurs.

Supporting these connected services is Mack’s dealer network, which has invested more than $1 billion during the last decade to strengthen its service capabilities. That investment has driven a 41% increase in service bays, a 75% increase in master technicians, and more than 65% Certified Uptime Dealer coverage across more than 400 locations in North America.

Supported by Certified Uptime Dealers

A Mack Certified Uptime Dealer is a Mack Trucks-designated service location that follows specialized, high-efficiency repair procedures to minimize vehicle downtime. These investments have contributed to a 30% reduction in average repair time and a 96% fix-it-right-the-first-time rate across the network.

Managing Maintenance Costs

Mack is also helping customers manage maintenance costs more predictably through tailored service contracts for vocational and construction applications. Using adaptive maintenance based on real-time operating parameters, these contracts have delivered a 38% reduction in planned downtime.

Optimized oil drain intervals alone can save customers roughly $6,000 per truck per year. Flexible monthly payment options are available, including the ability to bundle service with truck financing through Mack Financial Services with zero fees and interest.

Mack Protect Active Safety System

Mack connected services also include Mack Protect, the company’s proprietary active safety system that now comes standard across every new Mack truck model. Originally introduced on the heavy-duty Mack Pioneer, Mack Protect was recently expanded to the Mack MD Series.

It brings heavy-duty-grade collision mitigation technology – including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and pedestrian detection, extending heavy-duty-grade collision mitigation technology to Mack's medium-duty lineup for the first time.

Mack Launches CommandView

Additionally, Mack recently launched CommandView, a fully integrated situational awareness system that provides 360-degree camera coverage, automatic driver alerts, and event-based recording for incident review and driver coaching. CommandView will be available for order in the Mack Granite in late 2027.

“Safety, uptime and predictability are central to the success of our customers’ businesses,” said Ashish Sadhu, Mack director of services. “CommandView supports our customers’ needs by pairing intelligent sensing with intuitive driver-centric design.”

“In today’s trucking landscape, the differentiator between OEMs is no longer just the truck – it’s the software and services that keep it running, optimized and productive,” said Nicole Portello, senior vice president and chief digital officer of Mack Trucks. “Our customers don’t just want a great truck. They want fewer disruptions, lower costs, and the confidence that their fleet is performing at its best. That’s what our connected services deliver, and the data backs it up.”
