Watch for More: What Does AI Mean to Fleets?
Pro-Vision Brings AI Hazard Detection to More Camera Views Around the Vehicle
Pro-Vision's latest AI camera and inline processing module help commercial drivers detect pedestrians and vehicles during backing, merging, and lane changes.

Installed inside a work truck, Pro-Vision's AI-equipped monitor provides real-time alerts from side camera views to help drivers identify nearby vehicles during lane changes and merging maneuvers.

Pro-Vision is expanding its AI-powered safety technology beyond the windshield with two new products designed to improve driver awareness around commercial vehicles.
Expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026, the company's new AI-equipped camera and Inline AI Processing Module deliver real-time pedestrian and vehicle detection for side- and rear-facing camera applications, including lane changes, merging, and backing operations.
Powered by onboard edge processing, the AI-equipped camera analyzes video in real time and provides audible and visual alerts directly on the monitor when it detects potential hazards. The camera maintains the same 1080p resolution, AHD format, and low-light performance as Pro-Vision's current camera lineup.
The Inline AI Processing Module extends those capabilities to existing camera systems, enabling up to two non-AI cameras to deliver intelligent detections without replacing installed hardware. Fleets can also customize detection zones and alert distances based on vehicle configuration and jobsite requirements.

Pro-Vision's new AI-powered camera technology extends intelligent detection to camera views around commercial vehicles, providing visual and audible alerts for potential hazards.

"Together with our existing Birdseye 360° AI technology, the new camera and processing module broaden our company's AI-powered safety offering for commercial fleets," said Michael Finn, president and CEO of Pro-Vision. "The expanded portfolio gives fleets more ways to add intelligent detection and alerting solutions across a wide range of vehicle types and camera locations, all while maintaining the reliability and system compatibility fleets expect from Pro-Vision."
The announcement highlights a broader shift in fleet safety technology. While AI dashcams have traditionally focused on the driver and the road ahead, Pro-Vision is extending AI detection to the camera views surrounding the vehicle. The company also partners with major telematics providers, including Motive, Netradyne, and Samsara, enabling fleets to integrate exterior camera footage with their existing telematics platforms for a more complete view of vehicle operations.
