IntelliShift has added new functionality to its AI Video and fuel management solutions, as well as launched a new Fleet Maintenance module, as part of its annual ConnectedOps 2021 summit.
The updates include deployable, standalone services that, according to the company, improve vehicle efficiency and sustainability through greater insight.
IntelliShift's new, standalone module for fleet maintenance, with a beta version available in the fourth quarter of 2021, is designed as a direct response to the ongoing chip shortage. The company noted the shortage has put significant pressure on fleets to extend asset life and improve maintenance procedures.
The IntelliShift Fleet Maintenance app breaks down silos between digital inspections and service to accelerate communications and workorders from the field to the shop, and provides a singular platform that leverages vehicle data to plan and schedule preventive maintenance.
“With vehicle shortages putting pressure on fleets, maintenance has become a pillar of efficiency and sustainability,” said Ryan Wilkinson, chief technology officer of IntelliShift. “Aging vehicles need to stay on the road longer, meaning preventative maintenance is critical for success. This is why we are introducing Fleet Maintenance, a companion product to our IntelliShift Inspect mobile app, to help digitize workorders and provide enhanced functionality over traditional vehicle service.”
