Inform Software Corporation has launched a new gaming app that dispatchers can use to test their skills. The PayloadTheGame app, which is currently available to download for free, allows dispatchers to assign trucks to orders with a simple drag and drop move. From there, they can begin challenging their dispatch skills.
"Drawing on our deep domain knowledge of building materials logistics optimization, Inform has developed a gaming app that can be used by seasoned veterans and those new to the dispatcher role. It is focused on the cement, concrete and aggregates building materials sector, and gives dispatchers the challenge to strive for the lowest transportation costs and optimum assignment of trucks. It’s fun, but at the same time, drives home important objectives for all dispatchers," said Justin Newell, COO of Inform.
At the end of the game, Inform offers dispatchers the opportunity to learn more about Inform’s AI and optimization software, and how its building materials logistics solutions help facilitate timely and cost-effective operations through optimized planning, availability checks during order entry, time slot management, and real-time scheduling.
PayloadTheGame app is available on Apple’s App Store for iPhone devices and will soon be available on Google Play Store for Android phones and tablets.
