Hercules Manufacturing Corp., from Henderson, Ky., has added the FuelScoop from Aeroz America to its fleet. The addition of the FuelScoop has helped the fleet realize a 10-20% fuel savings as well as enhanced overall truck stability.
"After a thorough evaluation of the FuelScoop and its benefits we’ve determined that offering these products provides significant value to our customers," said Jeffrey Caddick owner and CEO of Hercules Manufacturing Company. "The overall driver-safety improvements convinced us to include the FuelScoop in all our customer proposals."
Currently, FuelScoop (dry freight) and FridgeScoop (reefer trucks) models are available for Isuzu, Hino, Mitsubishi, Mercedes/Freightliner Sprinter, Ford Transit, Freightliner, and International medium-duty box trucks.
The FuelScoop helps improve fuel efficiency, truck stability, driver safety, and more. When a Fuelscoop air deflector is fitted in front of a body/trailer mounted NoseCone, it will prevent the airflow being deflected down behind the cab. In different countries, a Fuelscoop is known by various names, such as a Air foil, truck scoop, Air Deflector, Wind Deflector, Spoiler and even a ‘Top Hat’.
Hercules is a 120 year old manufacturer and upfitter of box trucks.
"What’s unique is they are the first box manufacturer to recognize the customer benefits of packaging and offering aerodynamics with their products," said Mike Visser, CEO of Aeroz America. "Working with Jeffrey and the team at Hercules Manufacturing has been a breath of free air. After almost 120 years in business, their willingness to consider, evaluate and then adopt the benefits of our product technology, spoke volumes to me about their ongoing commitment to innovation and superior customer service and offerings."
Aeroz Products has been involved in the development, manufacture, and distribution of medium-duty commercial truck aerodynamics since the 1980s.
