NORTHVILLE, MI – Friction material manufacturer Fras-Le North America Inc. has introduced its new Work Truck and Fleet Disc Brake Pad Program to the North American aftermarket. The new program includes a complete line of hydraulic and air disc brake pads for class 1c-8 vehicles and is positioned to help warehouse distributors’ expand friction sales into new markets, according to the company.
Fras-le is the OEM friction supplier on many medium-duty work trucks in the U.S., and has been Meritor's heavy-duty friction partner for more than 15 years.
"Through marketplace research, Fras-le has recognized that medium-duty truck fleets are a greatly underserved market for aftermarket friction materials," said Zomar Oliveira, Fras-le North America’s director of operations. "This segment provides a growth opportunity for light vehicle distributors and retailers, and an extended market for heavy-duty friction product distributors."
Fras-le's Work Truck and Fleet Disc Brake Pad Program provides distributors with a complete sales tool kit to serve this fleet segment, along with marketing and technical support and training resources, according to the company. In addition, Fras-le has dedicated fleet brake specialists – a team of work truck experts – to serve as a liaison between fleets and distributors.
Extreme Service and Magnum Pro make up Fras-le’s aftermarket brake pad line for medium-duty vehicles and fleets in North America. Extreme Service is engineered for severe-duty applications, while Magnum Pro is the professional’s semi-metallic choice; both are designed for medium-duty vehicles and fleets.
Fras-le brake pads and linings are available in the North American OE and aftermarket, as well as in more than 80 countries. All of the company's friction products are comprised of application-specific formulations, are made from top-quality raw materials, and are asbestos-free.
