Ford Pro Intelligence continues its mission to provide small business and commercial leaders with essential tools for managing gas, diesel, hybrid, and electric fleet vehicles.
In October 2024, several new features and enhancements have been introduced to help streamline fleet operations and support the transition to electric vehicles. Here’s what’s new this month:
New Ford Pro Software Features Now Available:
E-Switch Assist: Now available in multiple regions, E-Switch Assist analyzes vehicle data to assess if transitioning gas-powered vehicles to electric, such as the Ford F-150 Lightning or E-Transit, is viable. This tool factors in driving distance, cargo load, terrain, driver behavior, and more, helping managers estimate daily charging needs for their fleets.
Lock/Unlock(Available October 28, 2024): This new feature allows fleet managers to remotely lock or unlock any Ford vehicle, offering enhanced control and security directly through Ford Pro Telematics.
Circuit Load Management: Available for Ford Pro Charging Software subscribers, this tool helps avoid costly electrical upgrades by balancing circuit capacity while charging, ensuring optimal use of existing infrastructure.
Enhanced Features:
Geofence Activity Report: Now available in the U.S. and Canada, this report allows fleet managers to monitor how long vehicles stay within designated zones, supporting vehicle utilization and security checks.
Distance by Region Report: This report provides insights into distance traveled by vehicles in each state or province, useful for fuel tax compliance and vehicle tracking.
Online Service Booking: Located in the Vehicle Health tab, fleet managers can now book service appointments directly with their preferred Ford dealers for maintenance needs, making fleet upkeep easier.
Additional Updates:
Home Charging: Ford Pro Charging Software now supports home charging management, allowing managers to monitor and schedule home charging while tracking energy usage for reimbursement purposes.
Stay ahead with these updates and more to ensure your fleet operates at peak performance. For more details or to schedule a demo of Ford Pro Telematics, connect with Ford Pro today.
