GRIFFIN
Fontaine Modification Vocational Services has hired Pat Griffin to serve as vice president of sales. Griffin will oversee sales and lead business development efforts for the Fontaine Modification business unit, which was established earlier this year.
Griffin will draw on his more than 20 years of industry experience to expand Fontaine Modification’s vocational business. He previously served as vice president of engineering and quality services at one of the country’s leading manufacturers of semi-truck trailers and transportation equipment. There, he managed the corporate after-sales customer service team and was accountable for all aspects related to rail products. His cross-functional efforts led to the development of dozens of new, innovative products in recent years.
Other positions include director of engineering for the wheel group at Hayes Lemmerz International and principal consultant at Fintek Consulting, where he utilized lean/Six Sigma methods to improve supply chain, manufacturing and product development efficiency for clients.
Griffin is a Six Sigma Black Belt who holds multiple patents in the commercial highway and automotive industries. He earned a bachelor’s degree in welding engineering at The Ohio State University, a master’s degree in organizational management at Tesculum College, and recently sat on both the Engineering Technology and Accreditation Board advisory committees at Purdue University.
At Fontaine, Griffin will focus on providing individualized service for customers.
“The Fontaine Vocational Services team will work with each customer to identify his or her unique needs,” says Griffin. “By understanding the customer’s operation at every level, we can then provide solutions that will positively impact the bottom line.”
Griffin will work out of the Fontaine Modification Vocational Services headquarters in Charlotte, N.C. He and his wife, Elizabeth, will relocate from Indianapolis to the Charlotte area.
