Top Fleet Stories

Here are the top eight fleet stories of the month to brighten your day from August.

  • Top Tech of 2023 — Ryder System recently awarded the title of "Top Tech" for 2023 to local technician Cody Morris. As a reward, Morris received a substantial cash prize of $50,000 at this year's Ryder Top Technician Skills Competition. This annual event serves as a platform to recognize, highlight, and provide incentives for Ryder's most exceptional truck maintenance technicians.

  • Top-Performing Warehouses — Isuzu Commercial Truck of America revealed that its parts distribution center in Scranton, Pennsylvania, has been recognized as one of the top-performing warehouses in North America according to Carlisle & Co.'s 2023 North American Parts Benchmark.

  • Helping the Community — Nearly 100 Bendix employees from the Huntington operation joined forces to construct a house for a local family in Huntington, Indiana. The construction was done in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne.

  • Celebrating MilestoneMarion Body Works commemorated a significant milestone – the delivery of its 15,000th cab. This unit was crafted for Spartan Motors. A celebratory event was held on August 16.

  • Scholarships for the Admirable — Transervice Logistics granted four $2,500 scholarships to the offspring of its staff members. These scholarships, intended for the upcoming 2023 Fall Term at the college of their preference, were bestowed following a selection process led by the Transervice Executive Team. The chosen recipients demonstrated commendable academic accomplishments, active community engagement, and admirable personal attributes. As part of the application, candidates were also tasked with submitting an essay detailing the reasons for their eligibility for the scholarship.
