FirstFleet recently awarded a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck to one of its drivers as part of its second recruiting promotion of the year.
From March 18-July 8, FirstFleet encouraged all company employees to refer new professional truck drivers for hire by the company. For each driver referred and hired, the referring employee received a cash bonus and one entry into the truck giveaway drawing when the new hire reached 90 days on the job. Overall, 70 FirstFleet employees participated in the promotion.
The winner was Charles Blankenship of Circleville, Ohio, who received the keys to his new truck with his wife, Sharon, and daughter Charlotte, by his side.
"We congratulate Charles on his good fortune! One of the reasons we have these promotions is to reward our current drivers and employees to sharing their positive experiences at FirstFleet with others,” said Ken Scrimale, recruiting manager at FirstFleet. “Our people are a top priority so being able to reward them is important to us. Secondly, we want to spread the word that FirstFleet is hiring and that we’re a great career home for professional drivers who are interested in a family environment where they can enjoy steady support, low-cost health insurance, and a variety of driving and home time options.”
Currently, FirstFleet operates over 2,900 company-owned power units and 10,000 company-owned trailers with over 140 operations across the U.S.
