FARMINGTON HILLS, MI and LOGAN TWP., N.J. - Daimler Truck Financial (DTF) announced it has reached an agreement with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America (MFTA) to begin providing financial products and services for more than 175 MFTA dealers and their customers in the United States.
Daimler Truck Financial, which provides financial services for Freightliner, Western Star, Sprinter and Thomas Built Bus dealers and customers, will bring its wide range of financial services and programs to the Mitsubishi Fuso dealer body in the United States. DTF manages a portfolio of approximately $5 billion which includes more than 120,000 commercial vehicles and 70 percent of Freightliner and Western Star wholesale dealer inventory.
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America markets Class 3 through Class 5 cabover work trucks designed to deliver the lowest cost of ownership in their class. The all new 2012 Canter FE/FG Series trucks offer improved fuel economy, best-in-class payloads, 18,000 mile service intervals and are backed by an industry-best five-year/175,000-mile powertrain warranty.
Together, DTF and MFTA will provide customers with competitive financing options with rates in Q3 as low as 0.9 percent for qualified customers. Other offerings include packages with terms up to 72 months. Additional product offerings will include TRAC lease, a full line of insurance and aftermarket products, and online account management. These wide ranging services have contributed to DTF's reputation as a leader in customer and dealer satisfaction among captive finance sources in the trucking industry.
In order to facilitate this partnership, Daimler Truck Financial has created a dealer reference guide for all MFTA dealers that they can print or download containing comprehensive contact information for Daimler Truck Financial's sales, credit and service staff as well as credit application, funding requirements and instructions on using DTF's F&I Pro Website and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) systems.
"We understand the finance requirements of the vocational buyer and we have the dedicated credit teams who have handled this kind of business for years," said Juergen Rochert, Vice President and head of Daimler Truck Financial. "The combination of MFTA's product lineup and DTF's financial expertise in the industry will further improve the market position of Daimler's commercial vehicle sales in the United States."
Todd Bloom, President & CEO of MFTA adds, "The addition of DTF as a financial resource for our network of dedicated dealers and loyal customers will only aid to solidify our position in the market by placing more of the revolutionary new line of Canter FE/FG- Series trucks into business and municipal operations throughout the United States."
