Demand Keeps Diesel Prices Steady at $3.83 a Gallon

Stronger global demand is keeping diesel from falling as precipitously as gasoline, which has experienced a 7.1-cent decline. The national average dropped 2.5 cents to $3.83 per gallon, which was 14.8 cents lower than a year ago, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
Meanwhile, the national average price for gasoline has declined $3.19 for the week ending November 11, reaching its lowest level in almost three years.
Gasoline has fallen to a level not seen since Feb. 28, 2011, when it reached $3.38 per gallon on average, according to federal data. Prices have fallen 25.5 cents in the past year. Prices have declined in 10 of the past 11 weeks.
