The supervisory board of Daimler Truck Holding AG has reappointed John O’Leary, who leads Daimler Truck North America (DTNA), underscoring its commitment to leadership continuity in one of its most important markets. His term CEO and president now runs through the end of 2028.
“I am happy that John O‘Leary, president and CEO of Daimler Truck North America, has agreed to extend his commitment for two more years,” said Joe Kaeser, chairman of the supervisory board of Daimler Truck. “As an experienced and well-regarded CEO, John plays a crucial role in steering DTNA through the challenging environment the industry has been facing. He will lead the company to the next level of performance together with his strong team.”
Leading DTNA Since 2021
Since 2021, O’Leary has led DTNA through a period marked by strong operational execution, disciplined market management, and a clear focus on advancing both conventional and advanced technologies. Daimler Truck said that under his leadership, the company has further strengthened its position in the North American market while supporting customers in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Other Key Leaders Reappointed
The extension of O’Leary’s mandate is part of broader leadership decisions aimed at ensuring stability and continuity at the board of management level. Achim Puchert, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Chief Financial Officer Eva Scherer were also reappointed.
