AGA Systems, LLC has received full EPA Certification for bi-fuel CNG applications on the 2015 General Motors 6.2L Direct Injection engine family.
The proven AGA Systems technology and EPA Certification give GM fleet customers the option to convert any light duty truck, van, and SUV model to run safely on both gasoline and compressed natural gas (CNG), according to the company. DuraDrive DI is a completely redesigned system utilizing Tier 1 OEM supplier components specified to accommodate the unique operating characteristics of the GM Direct Injection engine.
DuraDrive DI system will now be available for the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups and vans, the entire SUV family (Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade and Escalade ESV), and the GM Tahoe PPV (police pursuit vehicle).
This EPA Certification for the 6.2L Direct Injection engine follows the recent AGA Systems Certification for bi-fuel CNG applications on the 2014 and 2015 5.3L Direct Injection engine and completes the Certification for all General Motors trucks, vans, and SUVs equipped with new fuel efficient Direct Injection engines.
