MILWAUKEE - Mike Butschhas been promoted to director of fleet operations for Joy Global, Milwaukee. Joy Global's business units include P&H Mining Equipment Inc., Joy Mining Machinery Inc., and Continental Crushing and Conveyor Inc.

Previously, Butsch was fleet manager for the company's U.S. and Canadian fleet operations. His expanded duties will include management of the company's fleet operations in Europe, Australia, and South America. The company's worldwide fleet consists of sedans, and light- and heavy-duty service vehicles.

Over the years, Butsch has also served as a valuable industry resource, providing insights for several fleet publications, in addition to authoring articles for Work Truckmagazine - the sister publication of Automotive Fleet - on the subject of DOT regulations and compliance.
