For customers who demand the highest quality, value-enhancing running boards for their vehicles, the AMP Research Power Step is a retractable step that offers ergonomically-correct entry/exit from the vehicle.

Unlike traditional stationary running boards, the AMP Research Power Step drops down from the rocker panel to the correct step height when the door is opened, and tucks back under the rocker when closed, retaining the original styling lines of the vehicle. Unlike other running boards, the AMP Research Power Step has superior load-bearing capacity. It utilizes a weatherproof motor and anti-pinch technology, and is tested to rigorous O.E.M. specifications.

The AMP Research Power Step dimensions are ergonomically patterned after household stairs. This gives the user a step-up experience that is both easy and familiar. While the door is open, the AMP Research Power Step provides a step low enough for even children to easily enter the tallest trucks. When the door is closed, the AMP Research Power Step automatically retracts flush with the rocker panel of the vehicle.

  • The AMP Research Power Step is activated by an electronic signal from the truck's factory installed door sensors.

  • Extends to a convenient stepping height in about a second.

  • When doors close, the AMP Research Power Step running board retracts flush. behind the rocker panels under the vehicle, without sacrificing ground clearance

  • 600 lb. load capacity.

  • Heavy-duty, weatherproof motor with anti-pinch technology.

  • Real-world tested and rated for use in climate extremes ranging from -40 Degrees F to +200 Degrees F.

  • The AMP Research Power Step operates effortlessly in snow and ice conditions.

  • OEM quality, corrosion resistant components designed for trouble-free operation

  • Three-year warranty.

  • Includes wiring, mounting hardware, and instructions.
