Battle Motors announced the company’s expanded production facility in New Philadelphia, Ohio, is open and fully operational. The factory’s size increased from 125,000 square feet to 325,000 square feet, according to the company's news release.
The facility is where Battle Motors manufactures purpose-built diesel, CNG (clean natural gas), and all-electric vehicles.
From additional production lines, shipping bays, and receiving docks to the latest technologies utilized for fabrication, paint application, and vehicle assembly, Battle Motors said it has cleared the runway for the nationwide deployment of fully electric trucks.
"Expansion of our factory and scaling of production represents the most ambitious chapter yet in the 75-year history of this company," said Michael Patterson, founder/CEO of Battle Motors. "We have made the investment in the expansion of the physical plant, acquired the right technology, and most importantly, we have made a commitment to the people of Central Ohio by already adding 200 employees to our workforce and creating high-tech jobs at a truly momentous time."
Battle Motors said it invested $32 million in the facility to jump-start fabrication, production capacity, and vehicle delivery.
“Reaching this milestone is definitely an achievement we’re very proud of,” said Cody Boggs, COO of Battle Motors. “Our team of local labor and contractors minimized the disruption that can be expected with an expansion of this size and our production numbers throughout has been really impressive. Working within the limitations of our original factory, we still hit record numbers month-over-month, reaching our 2021 total by July of this year.”
