BETHLEHEM, PA – RoadLink USA, Inc., a provider of intermodal trucking and related logistics services, has acquired Transus Intermodal, LLC, a provider of intermodal trucking services in the Southern United States.
RoadLink USA is a portfolio company of Fenway Partners, a middle-market equity firm that focuses on the transportation/logistics/distribution and branded consumer industries. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Jim Pressley, former president of Transus, will now head RoadLink’s southern operations.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Transus has a driver force of 300, primarily comprised of owner-operators. At $40 million in annual revenue, Transus is among the largest providers of intermodal trucking in the South, and with 12 service centers, it is one of a small number that provide full regional coverage in the intermodal trucking space.
Transus’ Southern service center locations are: Atlanta; Birmingham, Ala.; Charleston, S.C.; Charlotte, N.C.; Dalton, G.A.; Greensboro, N.C.; Greenville, S.C.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Memphis, Tenn.; Nashville, Tenn.; Norfolk, V.A.; and Savannah, G.A. The combination of Transus with RoadLink USA provides the operational platform needed for further expansion of domestic and international service offerings throughout the key Southern markets in the U.S.
With the Transus acquisition, RoadLink USA operates from 60 service centers from coast-to-coast and has consolidated annual revenue of $250 million generated from a driver force of more than 1,700 owner/operators and employees.
